Coppa-Photos > Chris Steel Fire truck bar.After 5 years and 15 thousand dollars Chris Steel made his dream come true. He bought a 1963 Fire truck from a farmer on the east end of Long Island and converted it into his own home bar. The Fire truck was cut up and re-welded , painted and put back together in his basement. Chris has been in the volunteer fire service for about 20 years, first in Oceanside, and now in Manorville. loaded with equipment from breathing packs to siren and lights, you would think it was ready to roll out the doors and respond to a fire. The bar is decorated with a full supply of fireman patches and old style call boxes that Chris has been collecting over the years. People on scene stated the car was flying down the street and hit a small ramp and went airborne into the side of the building.
